You may order repeat medication up to 10 days in advance. Over extended bank holiday periods such as Christmas and New Years this is increased to 2 weeks in advance.
Patients on long-term medication and approved for repeat prescriptions can order in a number of ways:
- In writing – Hand in your repeat prescription request to the reception staff.
- Online – Click the link at the top of this page to order your repeat prescription. If you have not registered for our online services please telephone or visit the surgery for details of how to do so. You can also request your medications via the NHS App.
- By email – Email your request to us at cpicb.cornfordhouse@nhs.net
- By post – Send us your request and we can send your prescription back to you if you provide a stamped, self-addressed envelope. (Please allow for delays in posting time at weekends and bank holidays.)
- Repeat Prescriptions will not be accepted over the telephone
Please note, while most prescriptions are now sent electronically to the pharmacy, certain medications still legally require a paper prescription to be collected (E.g. prescriptions for private medications)
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
